So it's time to get serious about my diet and to do that, I am starting a 30 day challenge hosted by a fellow blogger called "Yeast-Free With Me" you can click the link to learn more, but in a nut shell I won't be able to have anything with yeast in it for 30 days to cleanse my system and hopefully drop almost 20 pounds!
No sugar.
No alcohol.
No dairy.
No yeast.
30 days.
Ughhhhh...... But guess what? It will totally be worth it! And hopefully it will give me the kick in the ass I need to start being more proactive about losing the rest of this weight. Anyway it starts on Monday, January 16th, so my last binges will be this weekend in Austin with my family and friends.
The hardest part of all of this for me will be the no alcohol part... Alcohol has become a weekly staple... and I am not sure how I feel about that to begin with... It has helped me cope and get through some really tough months of being alone and discovering a world that doesn't revolve around codependencies, but I guess this will show me how strong I am, and how much I really can do it on my own!
Wish me luck my friends!

For the first week you will think of nothing but carbs - then the cravings will go away and you will have more energy than you have ever felt before. You will sleep better and all the puffiness will go away. Just be sure to not compensate the cravings with sugary drinks - stay away from sugar as much as you can and try to eat 4 cups of green or white veggies a day and you will ROCK IT - asparagus, brussel sprouts, spinach, collard greens, green beans, pickles, cucumbers, KALE, broccoli, cauliflower, zuchini etc - avoid sugar filled carrots, root veggies and fruit and the weight will really come off - I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice, whoever you are!!!?? LOL
ReplyDeletephew.. i read this and was like "what?? we're not drinking this weekend??" haha :) but yes, i need to do the same, esp with the alcohol! love you!

How is this going for you? I had the best luck when I cut alcohol to loose weight. 35 pounds and counting. It was the best thing that I ever did. I changed my relationship with wine, oh yes - it was a full on relationship, and now I don't ever over do it, spend entire days hungover and bloated, or even drink weekly let alone daily anymore. I feel 100% better.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say it was going well, but I could NOT do it! LOL. I decided after doing some research, not to go so dramatic with the diet. As for the alcohol... we are an on and off type of couple lol. I am getting much better about not overdoing it and have cut it down from 4 times a week to maybe once or twice. It's a daily battle lol.
