Writing is becoming my therapy again, and that makes me more than happy. There is something about putting down your thoughts, being able to go back through and reorganize them to get a message across to someone, that is just so satisfying. That's why we blog right? To tell people how we feel, to share something they may not have known before. Which leads me to today's topic.
Something very close to all of our hearts, blogging. That's right, people, I am about to talk about our sacred little blogging world. I have been exploring my options to grow my blog lately, and what I have found so far has overwhelmed me, inspired me, scared me, and just plain exhausted me all at the same time.
When I started blogging, no one really read my posts, I hardly uploaded pictures, it was just for me, so I could get things out or remember what happened during a certain time. But it eventually evolved and turned in to something so much more. I started reading blogs and seeing the struggles, triumphs, and happiness that different people go through and found that I was identifying in some way with almost every blog I read.

I had no idea what the blogging world was capable of when I first started my blog. 2 years and 28 followers later I am still in shock that 28 people actually care about what I have to say on a daily basis! When I see blogs with hundreds or even crazier, thousands of readers I am in total shock! I wouldn't know what to do if that many people read my blog, and to be honest I am really not even concerned with the number of readers I have. I love my readers, and each one that I have gained I've had a connection with and corresponded with them in some way. I am not a fan of following just to recieve a follow in return. Quality over quantity is my motto. Which is why I don't write really often, or post about things I am not completely passionate about.
That being said, I don't want to write just to write, and I'm not that fashionable/crafty/all the other wonderful time consuming things that so many of the bloggers out there are! So reading my blog won't really make you smarter, or show you new styles, or teach you how to make arts and crafts, and I hope that's ok? I just want my readers to feel something when they read, to be inspired by what I feel, think, or do in my daily life, because so many of them inspire me in that way.
I have blogs I follow and I think:
"Wow she is so much like I was when I was 20"
"Wow she and I are going through the exact same thing right now!"
"Wow she is so funny, everytime I read a post I am cracking up, we would totally be friends in real life"
"Wow she and her husband have a great relationship, I can't wait to find someone that I feel that way about too!"
"Wow she and her family inspire me, I hope to be as good of a mom as she is one day"
And that is what I love about blogging. Not the fancy layouts, giveaways (I hardly ever enter any), or posts about fashion/crafts... I love the PEOPLE. I love listening to stories about life, stories that make me laugh or cry, stories that are important to that person, and for a second we get to feel what it's like to be in someone else's shoes. I don't know about you guys, but it makes me so happy that we are all such unique and different individuals, because I'm pretty sure no one would blog if we were all the same.
Happy Monday Bloggers :)
