A Beautiful Wonderful Magically Amazing Life.

I don’t stop enough to say thank you. Thank you to whatever magic it is that’s out there plotting and scheming to pull different elements together and create such a beautiful life. Does anyone else feel this way? Like every day that passes more and more wonderful little details are coming together to form a masterpiece?

I truly hope that everyone finds this joy in their own lives every day. Because every day there is joy to be found.

Whether it be waking up next to someone you can’t get enough of or just waking up happy to be yourself. Sleepy kisses good bye or the smell of your morning coffee. Rays of sunshine coming through the windows, lighting the floors in small lines. Little kitty/puppy footsteps following you to the bathroom. Your favorite song in the car on the way to work. A random text from a loved one just to see how you are. Daydreaming at work of what fun the weekend will hold. Returning home to a warm hug and a kiss or just a quite place to yourself. Practicing your hobbies. Spending quality time with your children. Taking a jog. Preparing a meal. Crawling in between the sheets of a freshly made bed. Deep talks with loved ones. Laughing so hard that you cry. Whatever it may be… Life is so perfectly imperfect. I try to remind myself of that as often as I can.

My mother said something the other day that really spoke to me. She said “I’ve realized that life isn’t about reaching the ultimate goal of happiness that we think is waiting somewhere in our future. There will always be hard times mingled with the good.” I couldn’t have agreed more. Life is about treasuring the high points in between the low ones and rolling with the punches that come along with it.

I just can’t understand people who constantly talk about how terrible their lives are, or dwell on the negative things about their days. I can understand the need to vent about a frustrating day, but vent for a moment and then move on. Talk about the good things that happened, go outside and breathe some fresh air and be happy in this moment, because this moment is your life.

As far as we know we’ve got one shot at this. Let’s make it something we will be happy to look back on. When it comes down to it, Life is a series of moments and memories. What emotions and feelings will your memories hold for you? Negativity? Regret? I hope not. I hope they will hold feelings of acceptance, forgiveness, joy, happiness, love, gratitude, and above all, hope. Let’s give our future generations that gift. That they can look at us and see an example of a life well lived. A beautiful wonderful magically amazing life.
