I took this picture on Christmas Eve right before I left for work, I gotta say, I don't think I've ever seen my face this thin. :)
When I FINALLY got off work at 6:45 or so I called my Daddy to make sure he was close and he informed me that he picked up the liquor (good job, Dad) and was less than 20 minutes from my casa! I made lots of finger foods for the evening as well as this awesome Holiday Wreath!.... that was kind of gross, but looked oh so pretty!
We ate, and ate, and ate, and ate some more! (Did I mention we ate??) Haha, and talked and Dad taught me how to make the famous Meyer Eggnog! It was YUMMY.
Dad wouldn't take hardly any pics with me :( But he snapped this one of me by the tree, eggnog nose and all :)
I talked him into watching a movie with me and soon after the sleepy bugs were crawling all over us, so we called it a night! The next morning I was OH SO excited for my Dad to open his gifts :)
AGAIN, he said nay to any pictures of him being taken until he was properly put together, so no pics of how happy he was about the workout clothes I got him :( But oh well lol. I snapped this handsome pic as we headed out the door for our Broughton family traidtion of eating out at Benihana for Christmas.
I didn't look to shabby myself ;)
We enjoyed our food, drinks, and conversation at Benihana! First time I've ever had Benihana cook a meal for two at a table for 8, it was interesting, but good quality time with my Dad.
Did I mention we drank? A LOT. :) We're Broughtons... whadja expect!??
After that we went to studio movie grill in Plano and drank some more while watching We Bought A Zoo, pretty cute movie, I must say. We then headed home, took a nap, and wrapped up Christmas 2011 by watching one of our favorites, The Grinch. It was a low key Christmas, done in true Broughton fashion, but it was a great time and I wouldn't have had it any other way. :)
