Valentine's Day Recap...a little late....

Ok, ok a LOT late!!! Last last Tuesday was Valentine's Day and it was pretty darn special. I was really excited because I planned a fun little night in my apartment for Justin, and I and could hardly sleep the night before!! I woke up to a text message from Justin around 8am on V-day that said "Answer your door" So I went to my door and found this...

 
Finding a dozen beautiful long stem roses on your door step makes for a pretty awesome way to start out the day! I texted Justin back with a huge smiley face and went along my day. When I got off work I rushed home to put the final touches on my V-Day set up! I had my flowers put in a pretty vase, the strawberries dipped in chocolate, the champagne chilled, the food in place, and the candles lit when he showed up. 

I didn't look too shabby either ;)

 
I had also arranged a little scavenger hunt for Justin to find his Valentine's Day gift! With each clue he found a "mini-prize" that has something to do with his history/interests or little inside jokes between us, Here were his clues...

 He bought me a DVD player and surround sound system as an early Vday present and had already installed it a few nights before, so when he followed the first clue, it led him to a little plastic medal hanging behind the TV!

I was referring to baseball, one of his favorite sports and the second date we ever had was playing catch at a field by my school, so I hid a pen with a baseball on the tip of it on top of my fridge :)

The next clue led him to the blender where you make SMOOTHies!!?? Get it!!!?? He didn't lol.... The prize in the blender was an army truck because hid Dad use to be in the Army.... well Navy actually but oh well ;)

This card was talking about how a week or two earlier JB hid my cell phone and wouldn't tell me where, he just kept saying it was near a source of power, after a lot of pouting he finally gave in and showed me he had hidden it in my breaker box!! Sneaky!!! So I hid his V-Day card in there along with another clue :)

This one led him to bathroom where I had left a bottle of really good smelling body wash for him :)

The final clue led him to search for another medal that was somewhere on the ground, it was sticking out of my cabinet in the bathroom and when he opened it he found his final gift!!

He had a lot of fun searching for his gift and was really happy that I had sneakily gathered info about a specific running shoe he had wanted and went and found them for him {{10 phone calls and a one hour road trip later that is}} But I had a TON of fun setting this up and it made the night really special, we just relaxed together and enjoyed each other's company which is the best way to spend V-Day in my opinion. It was definitely MY favorite Valentine's Day yet :)
