Life is such an adventure. If I have learned anything in the years since I turned 16, it's that the road leading forward never ends. You may think there is no way to get past road blocks, that the detours are horrible things making you go in directions that you don't want to, but truly they are what makes life worth living.
On my highway the yellow lines
Disappeared from time to time
And I wound up on the wrong side of the road
On my highway I go too fast
Afraid that I might finish last
I hugged the curve too hard and lost control
Oh you never know which way it's gonna go
But what a feeling, chasing the sun
Living my life like a shot from a gun
Laughing a little bit more with every mile
Oh what a freedom racing the wind
Dying to know what's around the next bend
Smiling as I watch the years roll by
I'm learning how to take it day by day on my highway
That song has become the soundtrack of my life. Its ironic that most of my time is spent on a highway, going here and there. But it's so true, life is like a highway. I love every challenge and obstacle that has been placed in front of me. Everything has a purpose and I am going to stop worrying about tomorrow and just enjoy the moment, enjoy today. I am so blessed, and I can't wait to cherish every day I get in this wonderful life :)
