There was a Man I met many years ago...
I didn't know it then, but destiny made something start to grow...
When I saw him again, I could feel so much passion in my heart...
It felt like nothing in the world could ever tear us apart...
We lived, laughed, and loved every day that we possibly could...
There was a Man who loved me more than any man should...
Sometimes there was hurt and sometimes there was sorrow...
There was a Man who reminded me that there is always tomorrow...
Sometimes that Man got confused and tried to numb his pain...
When I couldn't help him fix it, it nearly drove me insane...
I wanted so badly to rescue him and carry him away...
I tried so hard, for so long, but my plan always went astray...
There was a Man that I loved who somehow disappeared...
Where is he, God? I need him now to keep away these tears...
